Omp Group, an important presence in the office, community and contract furniture sector, has been producing and marketing a wide range of products, including customized products, since 1979, with the collaboration of established designers and product engineers. With Esedra a historic collaboration: for 15 years partner in industrialization and feasibility consultancy, to research together innovative solutions and optimize product performance.
Two new products were presented at the Salone del Mobile Milano 18, for which Esedra followed industrialization: “Pierce” and “Canova”.
“Pierce”: Mentioned in the Young And Design Award for the innovative use of wood combined with other materials.
The Esedra team has contributed above all to the study of ergonomics and technical solutions for fixing the wood. Product performance was positive, details were appreciated.
A very positive feedback also for “Canova”, a chair conceived by the designer to give plastic the perceived value of a wooden product. The very thin backrest contemplates tightness and ergonomics: a difficult challenge to transmute from wood to plastic.
Mondialstampi, the MET Group mold partner, will be involved in the next projects for the Bucket (Infinity) chair. Appointment at the next edition of the Salone del Mobile for the presentation of this novelty.
With Esedra, Relief is now developing, a contract chair that will be presented at Orgatec in October 2018.
